This Avant Garden wedding day was perfect from start to finish. Not too hot, not too cool, overcast but no rain. So many adorable pink and blue details made by Gigi and Alex. I was in heaven shooting everything!
We started off the day getting ready at the Whitehall Hotel in downtown Houston, then made our way down to the venue for the bride to dress and get ready. Avant Garden wedding are family owned and the business has been around for a long time in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston. I even went to poetry reading events long long ago at this location, so I was interested to hear that it had become a wedding venue on the weekends. The patio is covered to avoid sneaky rain showers and provides a lush green canopy while you get married. The staff there was fast and amazing to flip the area from ceremony to reception during cocktail hour. They also provided the florals for the whole day. For food for the guests, they have one of the best taco trucks in the Montrose set up a buffet line for dinner. I love one stop shopping venues!
