Top Houston Wedding Venues – A Texas Venue Guide

There are so so many great Houston Wedding Venues: from big to small, indoor to outdoor, modern to rustic. If you can imagine it, Houston’s venues have it! Though we have shot at a ton of local and destination venues, below are a list of some of my favorite Houston wedding venues.

Chateau Cocomar

It’s no lie that Chateau Cocomar is one of the most luxurious wedding venues in the Houston area. The original owners spared no expense to recreate this French chateau in North Houston. Some of the luxurious features are floor to ceiling cathedral windows, ivory walls, marble, chandeliers, and wrought iron. You can book the venue for your wedding or can book hourly for an engagement or bridal session.

The Carriage House

This Houston venue is nestled into the woods outside of Conroe and features a barn reception area, a brand new white chapel with red doors, and an outside ceremony site that has an alter covered in vines. I love this place because everything is separate so no flipping rooms. You can have an easy rain plan with a ceremony in the white walled chapel. Don’t forget to get photos taken on the tree swing out front!

Agave Estates

This Spanish mission themed wedding venue outside of Houston in Katy looks like you’re at a destination wedding. Couples love this venue because it’s like you’re having a wedding south of the border. I love Agave because of the super helpful staff, all inclusive options for couples and even offer floral services from their shop next door. Each wedding that we have photographed at Agave has ranged in style from bold colors, to burgundy with greenery, or light and pastel for spring weddings. Even though the venue has a style, you can still put your own personal touches for the wedding decor. There are so many little hidden alcoves to have photos taken too.

Dukessa Houston Wedding Venue

There are tons and tons of Houston wedding venues, but most are on the outside fringes of town. Dukessa is one of the only Galleria area Houston wedding venues. This is a super location if you have a ton of out of town guests since the venue is so close to the nice Galleria area hotels. This venue has the option of an indoor ceremony downstairs or a small ceremony outside under the tree. Then your guests mingle for cocktail hour on the patio, with the reception being upstairs. The venue is great for more intimate events and offers all inclusive options for food. The staff is super nice and so helpful to couples as well.

The Springs Wedding Venues

So you can take your pick: The Springs Magnolia, The Springs Woodlands, The Springs Angelton, The Springs Katy and their two new locations The Springs Cypress (formerly Chateau Polonez) and The Springs Wallisville (Trinity Farmhouse.) We have shot at almost all of their locations and can’t wait to shoot at the new spots. The best part of The Springs are their allowance of any vendor you want that way you have the most control over your vendors and how much DIY you’d like. Though some locations look like the same footprint of the other, the new venues are totally different. I love the The Springs Angleton for the Magnolia Manor white plantation style. The former Chateau Polonez will be a great addition to an elegant style but different than the others. Then the Wallisville location is an all white barn inside and out akin to The Farmhouse venue.

The Bryan Museum Wedding Venue

Though technically The Bryan Museum is in Galveston, this venue is SO one of a kind I just want to pack it up and take it home with me. The conservatory is a Parisian art nouveau replica greenhouse and fills with light throughout the day. You can have a ceremony out by the jasmine covered gazebo, or on the front lawn by the fountain. The bridal suite is decorated so beautifully with antiques while the grooms area is a large comfy spot filled with leather couches.
