This vintage tea elopement.. I just have no words for! I just loved loved loved this whole day and every time I look at the photos I let out an “awe”. I mean who doesn’t love an adorable puppy in a pink bowtie!?

Anna contacted me to shoot her and Jame’s intimate day and described what she had planned. It was just going to be the just the two of them plus their adorable Rosie as their maid of honor. There were details of the light and airy vintage tea time plus a little more prohibition style atmosphere location for portraits afterwards. The ceremony location was at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino because of it’s history of being the first hotel on the Strip. The original hotel is long gone from the Bugsy Siegel days, but she wanted that old Vegas connection with the location. The details from the DIY sign, to the research to find the best tea time food at the Mandarin Oriental, and then to the connection to Anna’s southern hemisphere upbringing in New Zealand… the dress came from Australia.

The even more awesome part of this wedding was that it was shot hybrid: shooting both digital and film interchangeably. I like looking at both sets of images almost separately. It’s like two stories of the day especially with the film having a bit more of a vintage vibe to everything. I will publish the film images separately in a post too.

Here are my favorites of the digital images of the day. I also wanted to give a special thanks to The Bling Pig Las Vegas for allowing us to shoot in your great establishment!

Congratulations Anna and James!
